Richard deCosta is a Maine composer working across opera, art song, choral music and concert-theatre. He is the founder of Turing Opera Workshop and creator of Cantai Intelligent Singing Synthesizer.
His songs seek a melody you can carry out of the room, and words you can understand the first time through. His larger projects explore unusual musical territory, from theatre-organ comedy to an opera sung in a language of his own invention.
